Independent Living
Collaborative training project between Raymond A. Kent School of Social Work, University of Louisville and an Advisory Board of professionals in foster care. Here in Kentucky, we have over 1,000 teenage youth in out of home care who need to be involved in both formal and informal independent living training. In the area of working with youth moving to independent living, it is critical for the youth’s learning for them to be attached to caseworkers. The Independent Living project seeks to address those training issues for foster parents, caseworkers and supervisors.
